The Biggest Yet
The piece is finished and off the face plate. Even though the piece started out with the possibility of being 42" wide, a couple of wrong cuts with the chain saw on my part, and also some of the wood had gone too far, the log had been outside for two yeas after it was cut down; it ended up weighing 44 lbs, 15 ½" tall, 30 ½" wide and 1 ½" thick the depth is 11 ½ and the bottom is 11 ¼" wide. I have 4-5 coats of deft on it and then a lot of hand rubbing. A very exciting and rewarding piece to work with.
